Anglo Congolese Association (ACA-DRCongo) is a non-profit organization created in 2015 by young Congolese to promote both congolese and anglo-saxon cultural values. We aim at integrating peace, good governance, democracy, and soustainable development into the fabric of our society, including English as medium of communication.

Peace & Leadership Development

To foster peace & cultivate a culture of leadership through grassroots initiatives, community engagement, & cultural activities that empower individuals to drive positive change & social cohesion.

Language & Digital Empowerment

To enhance capacity and promote the English language and computing as essential communication tools in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Educational Support for All

To support educational development and supply educational resources to marginalized groups within the community.

Gender Equality & Human Rights

To combat gender-based violence and advocate for human rights.

Environment & Sustainable Tourism

To contribute to environmental protection and promote tourism as a means of sustainable development for local communities in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Health & HIV/AIDS Awareness

To provide comprehensive health education, raise awareness about preventive measures, and address the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS.

Strengthening English Communities

To encourage and coordinate the involvement of English clubs, English centers, and English cultural spaces in the educational, social, and economic advancement of the Congolese population.

Global & Regional Collaboration

To affiliate with any international, regional, or bilateral organizations as determined by the National Executive Committee, provided that such affiliations align with and support the aforementioned goals.

Empowering Youth for Positive Change

To endorse and facilitate initiatives that empower young Congolese individuals to effect positive change in their communities, with a particular emphasis on fostering effective communication between young Congolese and the global community.

Skills & Knowledge Exchange

To promote and facilitate the exchange of experiences among educators and youth for the purpose of skills development.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your partners ?

ACA collaborates with local institutions and other youth organisations in Bukavu and Goma. ACA recently received funding from the US Embassy in Kinshasa, which enabled us to organise an English club competition for senior students in Bukavu. This initiative was implemented in partnership with the Provincial Principal Inspection of Education in South Kivu. The ACA is pleased to announce that it is open to partnerships with organisations that share our vision of empowering young Congolese to effect change through the medium of English and computing.
What is the religious and ethnic representation of youth participating in your programs?

The ACA is a non profit organization and opens its doors to all social groups without discrimination.
Do you offer volunteer or internship opportunities?

We are pleased to offer both voluntary roles and internships for individuals who are passionate about empowering young Congolese to effect positive change. Volunteers can participate in various programmes, including English language clubs, peace-building initiatives, educational support, and community development projects.
